- Technical Director: The Technical Director leads the technical department, overseeing all aspects of car design, development, and manufacturing. They are responsible for ensuring the team has a competitive advantage through innovative engineering and cutting-edge technology.
Engineering & Design

- Chief Aerodynamicist: The Chief Aerodynamicist heads the aerodynamics department, responsible for optimizing the car’s airflow to minimize drag and maximize downforce. This is crucial for achieving high speeds and cornering performance.
- Chief Designer: The Chief Designer is responsible for the overall design and concept of the car. They work closely with engineers and designers to translate performance requirements into a viable and competitive race car.
- Chief of R&D: The Chief of R&D leads the research and development department, exploring new technologies and materials to improve car performance. This includes areas such as advanced materials, hybrid powertrains, and innovative suspension systems.
Race Operations

- Drivers: The Drivers are the public face of the team, responsible for piloting the car and achieving the best possible results on race day. They must maintain focus, make critical decisions under pressure, and execute the race strategy effectively.
- Engineers & Strategists: Race Engineers and Strategists work together to analyze data and develop race strategies. They consider factors such as pit stop timings, tire wear, fuel consumption, and weather conditions to optimize the driver’s performance and maximize the team’s points.
- Mechanics: The Mechanics are essential for the smooth operation of the team. They are responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing the race car, ensuring it is in optimal condition for each race.
- Constructors: The Constructors are responsible for building the team’s car within the strict rules and regulations of Formula 1. This involves designing, manufacturing, and assembling all components of the car, from the chassis and engine to the intricate aerodynamic elements.
- PIT Stop Crew: Over 20 skilled individuals comprise an F1 pit crew, responsible for stabilizing the car, changing tires, adjusting aerodynamics, and ensuring a safe release. Each team utilizes a single pit crew for both drivers throughout the race weekend. This translates to over 200 individuals across all ten teams, each with primary roles within the team, contributing to pit stop operations.
