- Alex Albon and Daniel Ricciardo crash in turn 2 and 3 causing a yellow flag and then a red flag.
- lap 14: Zhou Guanyu had to retire his car due to mechanical. problems
- During strolls pit he got a pit lane infringement which was noted. no further investigation was taken on the problem.
- Lap 30: From Verstappen’s failure in Australia he took a 10 second lead.
- Russel complained about the turbulence and said “my helmet is flying off my head”
