The Race:
Race Recap:
- Because of Alexander Albons crash in Friday’s practice, he was not meant to race in the Australian GP. However, the Williams team decided to take Logan Sargent out of the race and put Alex in his car instead. They did this because they believed Alex was the stronger driver and could give them more. points.
- Zhou Guanyu started the race in the pit lane.
- lap 2: Carlos overtook Max.
- lap 3: Max then retires his car from the race. This was due to a right rear brake problem. His car also caught fire in the pit lane!
- Lewis Hamilton also had to retire his car in lap 17 due to engine failure.
